International Anti-Corruption Day has been observed annually, on 9 December, since the passage of the United Nations Convention Against Corruption on 31 October 2003 to raise public awareness for anti-corruption. International Anti-Corruption Day 2022 marks the 20th anniversary of the UNCAC. The theme for this year's international day is “UNCAC at 20: Uniting the World Against Corruption”. This year, the day seeks to highlight the crucial link between anti-corruption and peace, security, and development. The National Council of NGOs will join other stakeholders and NGOs/CSOs Members in marking this important day in our society. The NGO Council of Kenya in partnership with Ethics and anti-corruption Commission (EACC) promotes ethics and integrity values in our Kenyan society Provide overall leadership to the NGO sector and civil society as a whole. The NGO Council Champions the values of probity, transparency, accountability, justice and good governance. We are mandated to present all its members.The Council enhances self-regulation of all NGOs/CSOs members and the adherence to the rule of law. Assist them to realize their potential in providing services that improve the social economic status of the Kenyan society in pursuit of sustainable development and a just and equitable society regardless of gender, race, nationality, religious or any other inclination.
